This annual contest is conducted by the Santa
Cruz Host Lions in conjunction with Lions International. The theme
for 2005 is “Peace Without Borders.” Contestants between the ages of
10 and 12 are eligible. They participate by drawing the theme
without the use of any words or letters. They must use pencil,
water-color or paints. Local and district contests are held in
December and the final judging is made in February at the United
Nations Headquarters in New York City. Local entries are put on
display at either the SC Bus Depot or in the County Building.
Winning entries are also published in the SC Sentinel.
