2011 Student Speakers Contest  

Each year, during February, the Santa Cruz Lions Club hosts a student speaker contest during one of its weekly luncheon meetings. Students from local high schools speak in front of the entire club and are judged on their delivery by a panel of selected judges. Winners receive a $100 scholarship and advance to regional, state and national contests. Area schools are contacted previous to each contest with subject and program guidelines.
